So, it was my Birthday the other day.
And among my presents I received a Wii Fit.
Now I realise that I’m unfit but even I was a tad shocked when the Wii Fit revealed my fitness age to be the same number as the meaning of life in the Hitch-hikers Guide to the Galaxy! That’s 16 years above my real age.

I’ve also discovered that my sense of balance is pretty shocking as the Wii Fitness Board animation kept mocking me saying: ‘do you find yourself stumbling often’.

So there is nothing for it – I must keep it up and see if I can get my age down over the next few months of Wii Fit training and hopefully restore my sense of balance too!

I miss out on being a Generation X by 3 years. I must be part of the Generation (wh)Y.

So after a swift beer at the Rose & Crown (Sloane London, UK) we decided we really should head to the screening room and watch some Rambo.

The Triangle film (tbc: release 2011) will require some XXX action. Although we’re thinking Bruce Willis rather than Vin Disel.

It’s a UK film. So we’ll try and mix in a bit of Shawn of the Dead cynical humo(u)r. The backer’s may disagree. We’ll have to see what Warner Brother’s say. They’d like it to be a 15 rating (UK). It’s gonna be an R rating (USA) for sure…that’s an 18 UK.

Filming starts soon.

The bus not the band.

It was a shock to find out that the Tap Taps are not actually a band. They were created by *some* big wig marketing manager for one of *those* firms. The big ad firms. The ones whose names are spelt out with letters. Where all the walls are white and they have bright orange novelty objects in the creative rooms. Just to show how groovy they are.

Perhaps the beer trolly had something to do with it? I hear it’s brought around at 5pm every afternoon. To keep *them* happy. Let’s just hope they don’t resort to this:

So I will not be buying the Tap Taps latest album…there isn’t one.

But perhaps in another cunning twist a band will form and call themselves the Tap Taps and tap into all this hype that seems to be ALL over Twitter and Facebook.

So ‘Tim & Paul are my Homies’ (according to the Oliviers). This is rather good news. I might make one of my infamous t-shirts. I will re-visit Theatre503. I’ll sit there with a pint (or a soda water) and wait for Tim and / or Paul to arrive (hopefully having stolen or borrowed the statue).

All good theatre is done above a pub. But not just any pub…one in Battersea, London (UK). One a hop / skip and a jump from my doorstep. A brisk 20 minute walk or a 10 minute bus ride on the good old 137 sees me to an award-winning venue. An award = that’s an OLIVIER. Named after Laurence (he was rather a good actor don’t you know).

Tim (of above T-Shirt fame) is currently directing a comedy called Peter & Vandy at the venue. So if you like pubs and comedy I’d go check it out.
